One of the best things to do in Weeki Wachee is Weeki Wachee Springs. As the water at Weeki Wachee Springs is a temperate 72-74 Fahrenheit all year, you’ll never be too cold taking a dip at this wonderful spot!

As one of the most natural spots in Florida, it’s one of the perfect places to visit if you’re looking to relax, unwind, and fall back in love with Mother Nature in the heart of Weeki Wachee.

This is such a beautiful and relaxing option for things to do in Weeki Wachee, Florida.

Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

Next on my list of things to do in Weeki Wachee, it’s the Springs State Park. Located very close to Weeki Wachee Springs is the ever-popular Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.

What we love about this state park is that it offers visitors so much to do in one area!

Though you can go on waterslides, explore the grounds, visit the peacocks and even head out on an awesome boat ride, the top attraction here is the underwater mermaid performance. It’s a beautiful place to visit in Weeki Wachee.

Yep, you read that right – there’s a whole show that revolves around the “mermaids” of Weeki Wachee, which makes this one of the coolest things to do in Weeki Wachee!

Just settle in and watch kids and adults alike be entranced by these talented women in tails!

Buccaneer Bay in Weeki Wachee

Bucaneer Bay is another place that we highly recommend visiting in Weeki Wachee, Florida and it’s next on our list of things to do in Weeki Wachee.

Located within the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, Bucaneer Bay is home to four immense water slides and a great waterpark.

In case you were interested, three of the four slides will dunk you right into the Weeki Wachee Springs – talk about multi-tasking! If you’re traveling with little ones, they will adore Lil’ Mates Caribbean Cove.

Functioning as a next-level water play area for creative young kids, it’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Oh – and don’t worry about safety at this Weeki Wachee spot, there are lifeguards literally everywhere here!

Roger’s Park in Weeki Wachee

If you’re a fan of water sports, then we highly recommend adding Roger’s Park to your list of things to do in Weeki Wachee.

With crystal clear waters and great spots nearby to rent all the equipment that you could ever need, it’s basically a mecca for water babies.

If the water wasn’t enough to draw you in to this Weeki Wachee location, there’s also a lush observation deck, playground, barbecue grills and even a volleyball court to keep you occupied on a sunny afternoon! This is a great option for things to do in Weeki Wachee.

Jenkin’s Creek Park

Jenkins Creek Park is next on my list of things to do in Weeki Wachee. Another great beauty spot that’s deserving a place on your list of things to do in Weeki Wachee is Jenkin’s Creek Park.

As well as a boat launch for small boats and canoes, Jenkin’s Creek Park is home to a great fishing pier, grill, and picnic tables.

So, if you want to sample your catch of the day without making your way home, then you’ll be all set! If you aren’t a fan of fishing though, there’s plenty more to do in this Weeki Wachee location!

As this area is frequented by manatees, you might even be lucky enough to get some amazing photographs of those majestic sea cows too. Perfect option for things to do in Weeki Wachee.

Linda Pederson Park

When it comes to things to do in Weeki Wachee, watching the sunset has to be on your list. If you want to find a place to watch the sunset in Weeki Wachee, then you can’t beat Linda Pederson Park.

As this park is home to a forty-foot high observation tower, you can get a panoramic view of the marsh and the Gulf of Mexico.

However, it’s not just great views that this place offers up. With bird watching, a great fishing pier, and a great beach, you certainly won’t run out of things to explore in this part of Weeki Wachee! 


Hospital Hole in Weeki Wachee

If you love scuba diving and are looking to catch a glimpse of some Florida manatees, then you’ll want to pay a visit to Weeki Wachee’s hospital hole.

Though its name is strange, Hospital Hole is just a shore accessible fresh water dive site that’s located in the Weeki Wachee River. It’s a seriously fun option for things to do in Weeki Wachee.

So, if you’re looking for a scuba adventure with great visibility, be sure to head down.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why this place is called Hospital Hole, legend has it that injured fish supposedly came here to be healed before returning to sea! Cool, right?

Eagle’s Nest

Next on my list of things to do in Weeki Wachee, it’s Eagle’s Nest. If you’re interested in cave diving, then you’ll want to add Eagle’s Nest cave to your list of things to do in Weeki Wachee.

Though we don’t suggest this for just any diver (cave diving is a pretty dangerous sport and this place has a reputation for being deadly), Eagle’s Nest has long been a popular spot for curious cave divers.

So, if you’re a professional cave diver, it’s worth exploring and weighing up your options if you’re heading to the area, and it should definitely make your list of things to do in Weeki Wachee.

Pine Island Park

If you want to hang out with friends and family in a chill spot, then Pine Island Park is a fantastic option for things to do in Weeki Wachee.

Not only is it a natural delight with its awesome vegetation and spread of wildlife, but you can even spot dolphins here!

That’s right, dolphins! Though you’re not guaranteed to spot them, be sure to pack that camera of yours just in case…

Yulee Sugar Mills Ruins State Park

Way back in the day, this spot was once home to a massive 5,100-acre sugar plantation.

Though this place is no longer in operation (obviously), it’s an interesting part of history, and it’s an interesting place to learn more about that time period.

As one of the main suppliers for the Southern troops during the Civil War, there’s plenty of history to explore.

Weeki Wachee Preserve

Next on my list of things to do in Weeki Wachee – Weeki Wachee Preserve. If you’re hoping to spot some black bears in Florida, then be sure to add Weeki Wachee Preserve to your list of things to do in Weeki Wachee.

As the bears here are shy and pose no threat to people, you should be perfectly safe exploring the area – so don’t worry!

As Weeki Wachee preserve is part of a conservation area, it has a whole host of habitats that you can check out, so be sure to take your time.


Rent a Kayak or Canoe and hit the water

Though there are several spots in Weeki Wachee where you can kayak, one of the best spots for kayaking or canoeing in the area is at the Wetlands in Crystal River State Park.

So kayaking there obviously had to make our list of things to do in Weeki Wachee.

As power boats are limited to 5mph here, you’ll feel perfectly safe exploring the area on your much smaller floatation devices!

If you’re lucky, you may spot some of those famous sea cows in this area too, so be sure to keep an eye out. 


Try Paddle boarding!

Just as with kayaking, you can also try paddle boarding! Paddle boarding is a lot of fun, and a really realxing activity to try in the Weeki Wachee area!

In fact, it’s one of the best things to do in Weeki Wachee, I think you’ll love it!
