Tribute

Tribute is a stunning restaurant at the Houstonian Hotel which offers a gorgeous three-course prix-fixe menu from chef Neal Cox, and it’s the first place on my list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston.

You’ll find an incredible spread of food on offer here, including crab claws, salads, Post Oak Wood Grilled Turkey, and the ever-popular filet mignon.

If you have a serious sweet tooth, be sure to try the delicious pumpkin pie or decadent bourbon pecan pie.

The food is a major reason for this being on our list (obviously), but the décor is nothing to scoff at either.

It’s luxurious and sleek, making it the perfect spot for a Thanksgiving meal with the entire family.

As it’s extremely popular, this is one that you’ll need a reservation for if you think it’s the right fit for you this Thanksgiving!

This place is all about Brunch and buffets!

So, expect to find a full-on buffet packed with delicious eats like maple-glazed Virginia ham, turkey breast, and a selection of scrumptious desserts. Oh, and did we mention the free mimosas? Score!

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is my next suggestion for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston.

Although this is technically a chain, it’s among the most reliable choices on this list.

The prime beef here is seriously divine, but you’ll also get to chow down on a feast of soup, turkey breast, mashed potatoes, rolls, veggies, and pan gravy. When you’ve had your fill of the savory stuff, you can try their incredible desserts.

Coming in at ~$45 per person, this place is really good value too.

Brasserie du Parc

I can never visit Houston during the holidays without paying a visit to Brasserie du Parc.

This gorgeous eatery encapsulates everything that makes French dining fresh and fabulous, and this place offers a feast of 3 courses too!

You’ll enjoy a Butternut Squash Soup before digging into a selection of meats (like short ribs and turkey!). If you’re looking for something slightly different, the Atlantic salmon is always a winner.

I love it when places offer plenty of choice!

Before you go, don’t miss the Crème Brûlée or pecan vanilla tarte infused with bourbon. They’re both equally mind-blowing, so take your pick!

Seriously, if you’re anything like me and you appreciate delicious sides, perfectly cooked meats, and mouth-watering desserts, then you need to visit the next place on my list.

This place is known for its delicious Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, but they don’t play when it comes to their creamy mashed potatoes. Ugh, we’re salivating just thinking about it!

What’s more, you’ll rarely pay more than $49.95 for adults and just $14.95 for kiddos. Talk about a serious bargain.

So, you can see why it’s on my list of the best restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day.

Jonathan’s The Rub

If you happen to be looking for restaurants near the Memorial Green area on Thanksgiving, consider the search over with Jonathan’s The Rub.

This place is known for its uber-cozy feel and delicious American dishes, so it’s no surprise that it’s been named one of the best restaurants in town!

Dig into their herb-roasted turkey breast that’s slathered in a homemade gravy while plowing through the ginger honey-glazed carrots, sausage stuffing, and immense green bean platter.

To round things off, order a delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte to indulge in those holiday feels!

Whether you’re here for a blowout bonanza or want to keep things simple without any add-ons, you’ll be able to see why this is among the best on this list!

Brennan’s of Houston

Brennan’s of Houston is another great choice for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston, and it serves up classic Southern comfort food that’s bound to have you loosening your belt buckle.

It’s best known for its enormous gumbos and snapping turtle soup, but you’ll also find an amazing Creole turkey and stuffed quail on the menu when the holidays roll around.

If you’re adding this to your list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving that you need to try, make sure you order a portion of their caramel-crowned pecan pie. It’s sinfully sweet but worth every calorie.

Are you looking for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston that are suitable for families on a budget? If so, you’ll adore Cleburne Cafeteria.

This is one of the restaurants on my list, that has been a city staple for years (it first burst onto the scene in 1941!), and it offers a dine-in and to-go Thanksgiving dinner that includes sides, entrees, desserts, and all the trimmings.

You’ll find classics like turkey, ham, gravy, baked squash, and the creamiest macaroni and cheese ever. All totes delish, of course.

Turner’s

Okay, when it comes to restaurants open on Thanksgiving that offer next-level service and great live entertainment – Turner’s is the business.

Not only is it one of the fanciest restaurants on my list (seriously, the décor and the waiters are excellent), but it also offers complimentary champagne before you’re seated, a delicious selection of classic meats, and the best cheese plate you’ll ever eat.

If you’re wondering where entertainment comes into things, let me fill you in. This is one of the restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Seattle with a live pianist!

Sure, Turner’s is among the priciest restaurants (it’ll set you back ~$250 a person), but it’s so worth it. So if you want something special, this is a great pick.

Steak 48

For excellent steaks and meats, it doesn’t get much better than the next spot on our list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston – Steak 48. It’s in the River Oaks District, and these guys know how to do Thanksgiving RIGHT.

You’ll find things like roasted turkey, whipped truffle potatoes (ridiculously good, BTW), cranberry sauce, and gravy.

But what sets this place apart from other restaurants on my list is the fact that you can still order from their a la carte menu.

So, if you’re feeling Alaskan king crab, filet mignon, or shellfish, they’ve got you covered.

Hugo’s

Hugo’s is next on my list, and it won’t disappoint you!

It’s a delicious Mexican restaurant in Houston that’s perfect for turning Thanksgiving into a total fiesta.

Although you won’t be able to eat in, they offer a seriously good to-go menu that’s packed with goodies like Tortilla Casserole, charred Brussel sprouts, and a moreish pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

Sure, you won’t get a traditional meal here, but there’s a reason this place has made it onto my list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston. It dares to be different!

Himalaya Restaurant

The final spot on my list has got to be Himalaya Restaurant.

Houston may not be renowned for its Indian food, but this place truly brings delicious international cuisine to the fore with its masala-spiced turkey. Yep, you read that right.

Everything on the menu is flavorful, and this is one of the restaurants on my list that’s ideal for anyone who feels like breaking the mold this year. And eating something a little bit non-traditional.

Chef Kaiser Lashkari always cooks the food here to perfection, so don’t worry about walking away disappointed that you didn’t go down the traditional American route.

We hope our list of the best restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Houston has given you lots of great suggestions!
