Visit the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House Museum

This sprawling museum is tucked inside the Davis-Horton House which is the oldest structure in the downtown area.

This spot was once home to Alonzo Horton who was an important real-estate mogul who helped develop the San Diego Bay in the 1860s. Now, it’s a museum dedicated to teaching visitors about how the town came to be.

In addition to audio tours of the historic house, you’ll often be able to book candlelit tours through the Victorian-era property that give things a ghostly feel!
