When you’re out hiking, it’s so important to stay energised, and part of that is ensuring you have lots of delicious hiking snacks available in your backpack!

Hiking snacks are great, and finding the best hiking snacks for you is so important. Here are some things I look for in the perfect hiking snacks:
- Size – I like hiking snacks to be small, so I can easily store them in my backpack and so they don’t take up too much size or weight.
- Taste – If I’m working hard and hiking, you better believe I want my hiking snacks to be tasty! It’s something to look forward to!
- Nutrients and energy – All the best hiking snacks contain lots of energy, so keep you fuelled up and ready to go.
- Waterproof / sealable packaging – It’s really helpful if the packaging is waterproof and sealed. No one wants soggy sandwiches on their hiking adventure, am I right?
- Affordable – Ideally, I like buying my hiking snacks in bulk, so they don’t cost loads when added up.
OK, so now we have the list of things to look out for in the best hiking snacks… let’s get onto the good stuff!

The following snacks are great because they taste good, they’re good value and they’re packed full of the good stuff!
NEOH Low Carb Protein & Candy Bar
These are a super tasty sweet hiking snack option. The NEOH Low Carb Protein & Candy Bar is gluten free and low sugar, so it’s a great choice if you’re a little health conscious too.
It comes in three flavours… chocolate, coconut and raspberry, so you can take your pick of whichever fits your tastes best!

Honey Stinger Organic Waffle
The Honey Stinger Organic Waffle remind me of dutch waffles, and they’re sweet, sticky and delicious.
These are one of the best hiking snacks because they’re really convenient and flat, so fit in just about any backpack or pocket without being bulky.
They’re also not crumbly or messy, and honestly they ARE SO TASTY! One of my top picks on this entire list for sure!
