When driving up to New Paltz NY most routes will take you on the I-87 N, this tends to be the fastest route – and it’s scenic too!
If you’re taking the train up to New Paltz NY, then I’d recommend taking with the Empire Service from Penn Station which takes about 3 hours, or the Hudson Line from Gran Central which takes about 4 hours.
