In my list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix I’ve compiled a list of restaurants for all kinds of budget, located all around the city, that will be serving delicious food on Thanksgiving.

I’ve also tried to include lots of different cuisines on my list, because I totally understand that the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, isn’t to everyone’s taste!

So, let’s get into it and explore some of the best restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix!

Reminder: Whilst I try to be as accurate as possible, I am human! Some restaurants will change their opening hours for holidays with little notice. I do often check sites like Open Table to verify, but I always recommend checking and reserving yourself ahead of the day!

Ocean 44

First on omy list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix, it’s the amazing Ocean 44.

If you’re into seafood, or steak, I know you’re going to love dining here, because those are the foods they specialize in and are perfect.

The setting is intimate but vibrant, and the energy is really lovely. The restaurant feels stylish, but also kind of traditional too.

I think if you’re trying to impress someone this Thanksgiving, then this is a great option. The food is great, but the dining experience is also fantastic.

You’ll find amazing USDA prime steaks on their menu, alongside some delicious seafood and shellfish too. So something for everyone.

The Mission – Old Town Scottsdale

My second suggestion for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix, is The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale.

This is a beautiful restaurant, and even if you don’t visit on Thanksgiving, I recommend visiting at any other chance you get!

This is the perfect choice for Thanksgiving though, especially if you want something a little non-traditional, but equally wonderful. ‘Sophiscated but casual’ is their mantra – and I think it fits them perfectly to be honest.

You’ll find renowned Chef Matt Carter (Zinc Bistro and Fat Ox) leading the team here. He brings a modern twist to the Latin cuisine that the restaurant serves up.

The food blends influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. So if you love those cuisines – we guarantee you’re going to adore the food here. It’s one of a kind!

Fat Ox

Next on my list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix, it’s the amazing Fat Ox.

Chef Matt Carter runs the Fat Ox, and it’s a restaurant driven by flavor and style. This place is top-notch, and you can expect amazing dishes that blow you away, every time you dine there.

Why is this place a great choice for Thanksgiving? Well, it adds a little magic to the day. Because the menu is really unique and delicious, it’s something unique and fun to try, instead of the traditional Thanksgiving-style dinner.

The cuisine here is regional Italian food, but the team at Fat Ox put their own modern twist on the dishes – which gives them new life and brings a real excitement to the menu. The menu also changes regularly too – so even if you’ve been before, there’s always reason to visit again.

This place is a fantastic choice for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix and I think you’ll love it.

Sure, it’s not a traditional Thanksgiving dining experience, but I don’t think that matters in the slightest.

Mastro’s City Hall Steakhouse

Mastro’s City Hall Steakhouse is my next suggestion for great restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix. This is a great pick, especially if you love (you guessed it!) steak.

As you’d expect, this place prioritizes beautiful ingredients and high-quality meats and produce – so you know you’re in for a delicious meal if you dine here.

In my experience, if you’re looking for a traditional thanksgiving dinner, then finding the best steakhouses in a city, is always your best bet. And Mastro’s City Hall Steakhouse is no exception to my rule.

If we were dining here? We’d choose the Porterhouse steak, and then add in some delicious side dishes to accompany it. Such as lobster mashed potatoes and creamed corn.

Are you feeling hungry yet? I thought so!

Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows

Next on my list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix, is Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows.

What can you expect from Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows? Well, you’ll find beautiful seasonal food cooked in their amazing signature oven, from the inventive mind of Chef de Cuisine Alfred Muro.

What can you expect on Thanksgiving, I hear you ask…

Well, they will be putting on an amazing three-course dinner featuring squash soup, braised beef short rib, and slow roasted “Two Wash Ranch” turkey dinner – with all the fixings of course. Would you expect anything less?

This will cost you $125, which is pretty amazing for the amount of food and quality of food on offer. Which is why this place has made my list!

This is a great choice for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix, especially if you fancy dining somewhere with gorgeous views, and wonderful food too.

My next suggestion for restaurants open on Thanksgiving, it’s RA Sushi Bar Restaurant.

This is a great suggestion for people searching for some non-traditional Thanksgiving fare.

It’s also a great choice if you’re after something a little lighter than traditional Thanksgiving food. As sushi is pretty easy to eat, and doesn’t leave you suite so sleepy as the big multi-course Thanksgiving meals.

This place serves up some of the best sushi in town, and it’s really popular with both tourists and locals alike.

They have all the delicious goodies you’d expect to find at a sushi place, but my favorites have to be the Hot Night Roll, the Adults Only Roll and the Viva Las Vegas Roll.

So much yum!

But trust me on this, each and every steak place on this list, deserves to be there! Steak places are ideal for Thanksgiving because they usually serve up some delicious variation of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Steak 44 is one of the most popular steak places in Phoenix, and it’s not hard to see why.

They usually open pretty early (from 1pm) and close around 9pm on Thanksgiving, and in addition to their full regular menu, also offer Chef’s Thanksgiving feast! This includes roasted turkey, whipped truffle potatoes, cranberry sauce and Chef’s childhood stuffing and gravy.

They also have Thanksgiving desserts available too (it’s not Thanksgiving without dessert right?). So this place really does offer everything you’d expect for a local Thanksgiving feast.

STK – Scottsdale

STK is a pretty solid choice on Thanksgiving. They will likely have some Thanksgiving specials on, as well as their normal steak menu (but we always recommend checking of course).

The menu here is extensive, and the food is of a great quality too. If you’re searching for something reliable and tasty, then I think you can always count on STK as a chain steakhouse.

STK is one of those fail-safe options, that most members of a group will really enjoy (maybe not the vegans though!).

It’s a great choice for restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails

Cobre Kitchen prioritizes healthy meals, with locally sourced ingredients – two things that we absolutely adore.

And let’s face it, sometimes you want to stick to your health food plan, even on the holidays.

If that sound like you, then maybe this is a great option to try. You can still have an indulgent meal out for Thanksgiving, but you can know that it’s healthy and good for you too!

What would I order? Well, I can’t resist the Tepary Bean Hummus to start my meal off, and then I’d liekly opt for the House Made 3-Cheese Agnolotti, with parmesan, ricotta and burrata. And maybe a side order of their fresh and tasty Lemon Garlic Broccolini.

How delicious does that sound?

Another thing I love about this place is how casual some of the menu items are. This place isn’t stuffy or pretenious. They’re not afraid to put a sandwich on the menu, and keep things simply and delicous.

For Thnaksgiving though, what would I order?

Well, their Roasted Fig & Brie with marinated figs, local honey, noble bread gives me all the Thanksgiving / fall vibes. But I also can’t resist their Wild Mushroom Pappardelle Pasta too!
