Towner Eastbourne

This quirky art gallery is next on my list of things to do in Eastbourne. Towner Eastbourne holds some of the best art in the UK, and it’s definitely one of the leading art galleries in the south of England.

Well worth a visit if you’re in Eastbourne and you’re an art lover!

Sovereign Harbour

Sovereign Harbour is next up on my list of things to do in Eastbourne.

There’s so much to do in Sovereign Harbour, you could probably spend a beautiful day just strolling around this scenic part of town and enjoying everything there!

I’d start with lunch along the harbour in the sunshine, and then enjoy a walk around, see the views, maybe take a boat around the water, a cold pint and some people watching, and even some retail therapy!

This is one of my favourite things to do in Eastbourne – you’re going to love it!

Eastbourne Redoubt

This historic site in Eastbourne is a key place to add to your list of things to do in Eastbourne. It’s one of those places that is stepped in history and stories!

The Eastbourne Redoubt was originally built to keep out Napoleon’s armies, and you’ll be able to learn way more about this when you visit!

As well as being historically interesting, it’s a genuinely fascinating building and structure too!

Eastbourne Beach

How could we write a list of things to do in Eastbourne without including the beautiful Eastbourne Beach.

It doesn’t matter what time of year you’re visiting Eastbourne… the beach is a pretty amazing day out whatever the weather.

The main beach at Eastbourne runs from the Pier to Wish Tower, (about half a mile south).

Treasure Island Adventure Park

If you’re looking for family-friendly things to do in Eastbourne… then you can’t find better than Treasure Island Adventure Park.

Treasure Island is a Pirate Themed Adventure Park in Eastbourne (you might have guessed from the name!) and it’s aimed towards children and families.

It’s a really fun family day out and it’ll keep the kids completely entertained… It’s an ideal option for family-orientated things to do in Eastbourne.

Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway

OK, my next idea for things to do in Eastbourne – is something both kids and adults love equally!

The Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway is such a cute activity and definitely something you’ll want to check out when visiting Eastbourne.


Seven Sisters

If you’re searching for the perfect outdoorsy things to do in Eastbourne, then visiting (and hiking / walking) the magnificent Seven Sister cliffs is absolutely something you should be adding to your itinerary of things to do in Eastbourne.

The Seven Sisters are STUNNING – and they’re a key landscape in the Eastbourne area to experience and admire.

The Beacon Eastbourne

If you’re looking for some retail therapy and fancy doing some shopping during your trip, then taking a trip to The Beacon shopping centre should definitely be on your list of things to do in Eastbourne.

There are loads of store sin there, and cafes / restaurants – so you’ll find plenty to enjoy there.

My favourite place to eat at The Beacon is The Bok Shop™ – a burger and chicken wing place, that you absolutely need to check out!

Eastbourne Lifeboat Museum

The Eastbourne Lifeboat Museum is another great option for things to do in Eastbourne. This lovely museum is housed in the 1898 RNLI William Terris Memorial Boathouse, on the King Edwards Parade. 

If you want to know more about the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this is going to teach you so much!

South Downs National Park

The South Downs National Park is a beautiful national park and it’s only a short drive from Eastbourne. If you’re looking for outdoorsy things to do in Eastbourne – then this is perfect.

There are so many amazing walks and hikes to enjoy in South Downs National Park, with beautiful views and vistas. Oh!

And another beautiful thing you can do in the South Downs National Park… Stargazing! How magical is that?

Beachy Head

Beachy Head is next on my list of things to do in Eastbourne. Beachy Head is actually the highest chalk cliff in the country!

So it’s quite the sight to behold, and makes for a pretty amazing photo opportunity. It’s a whopping 162 metres above sea level, so it’s truly epic!

Eastbourne Bandstand

Eastbourne Bandstand is next on my list of things to do in Eastbourne, and it’s a cute choice is you’re looking for a nice local monument to walk to and enjoy!

The bandstand (as well as being super pretty) is also a live music venue! They have artists perform their regularly, so it’s worth checking if they have anyone performing during your trip!

Royal Hippodrome Theatre

Another performance venue in Eastbourne, the Royal Hippodrome Theatre is next on our list of things to do in Eastbourne.

They have loads of shows here, changing regularly – so always check out what’s on before visiting! If you can find a great show, then it makes a perfect option for things to do in Eastbourne.


Cineworld Eastbourne

If you’re looking for things to do in Eastbourne on a rainy day… You’re going to want to book in for a movie at Cineworld Eastbourne.

It’s located right in the centre of town too – so it’s easy to get to and easy to find.

The Pavilion

Next on my list of things to do in Eastbourne, it’s the Pavilion.

You’ll find the Pavilion in the gardens next to the Redoubt Fortress – so it’s a great place to visit in Eastbourne at the same time! What can you do there? Eat and drink!

The Pavilion is a cute, quirky bow-shaped tea room with a wonderful outdoor terrace overlooking the seaside.


Shinewater Park

If you’re after a classic park for some playtime for the kids and a nice walk, then Shinewater Park is going to tick your boxes!

Sure, it’s not one of the most exciting things to do in Eastbourne… But it’s good to know where the nice parks are in town, so you can fall back on them if other plans fall through!

Sharnfold Farm

If you’re an animal lover and you’re looking for things to do in Eastbourne, then Sharnfold Farm is going to tick so many boxes for you!

As well as the farm itself, there’s also a farm shop, a butchers, a cafe and a ‘pick your own’ area… so it’s an amazing place for a day out!

Knockhatch Adventure Park 

Another one for the parents reading! If you’re looking for things to do in Eastbourne for kids and families, then Knockhatch Adventure Park is going to be a great choice.

It’s one of the best family days out you can experience in the Eastbourne area.

There’s an indoor and outdoor play area (which makes this an awesome option for things to do in Eastbourne on days when the weather is unpredictable).

Tickets are £9.99 (for people over 2 years old), but the price is only £4.99 after 3.30pm!

Michelham Priory

Next up on my list of things to do in Eastbourne, it’s the Michelham Priory.

This is a historical site, with gorgeous gardens too. It’s located a short drive from Eastbourne centre, so you’ll likely need a car to get there. But it’s worth the drive!
