This magical little eatery is opening on Christmas Eve, with a beautiful festive-inspired menu that you’ll adore.

Chef Fred Ramos is the brains behind this gorgeous menu, and there are some really special dishes to be enjoyed, including beluga lentil soup, a tasty smoked salmon pinwheel and (not forgetting the classics) spaghetti arrabiata or beef tenderloin pizzaiola.

If you love classic Italian food, this is going to be a top choice.


Bocadillo Market

This place is a cute little Spanish café and restaurant, located in the area of Lincoln Park. So if you’re around there, this might be an ideal place for Christmas Eve dinner in Chicago.

Bocadillo Market will be serving up their brunch from 10am to 4pm on Christmas Eve, so it’s a lovely option for Christmas Eve feasting, if you fancy eating a bit earlier in the day.

The food here is driven by seasonality, and their food puts out some beautifully fresh and unique dishes, alongside innovative new dishes that you won’t have tried before.


Longman & Eagle

They’ll be partnering with Chinese favorite Sun Wah BBQ, creating a wonderful but also limited-time menu for both for Christmas Eve and Day.

You’ll find some seriously tasty offerings on the menu. Including jumbo smoked salmon Rangoon, walnut shrimp po’ boy, General Foie’s chicken, and so much more.

This lovely cafe offer a brilliant, and very generous, buffet on Christmas Eve (and Christmas Day if you were looking for Christmas Day options too!).

They have some serious pan-seared salmon, roasted beef strip with mushroom onion sauce, butternut squash mac and cheese and roast garlic mashed potatoes; round off your meal with desserts like French silk pie cups and sticky toffee pudding.

Here’s another choice, if you want to eat a little earlier in the day. This place is serving up a delicious brunch buffet on Christmas Eve, and it’s an amazing location to try if you’re in the River North area.

As with any great buffet, you’ll find an omelet station, some delicious prime rib (at the carving station!), pancakes and waffles for the people with a sweet tooth, and we haven’t even mentioned the sushi bar, salad bar and dessert table!

It’ll cost you around $39 per adult, and it’s a really lovely choice.

Beatrix – Oak Brook

Beatrix is a beautiful cafe / restaurant in Oak Brook, and it’s a lovely choice for Christmas Eve dinner in Chicago.

The vibe here is laid back, but the food here is sophisticated and stylish.

It’s a lovely pick, and their menu is fresh and delicious, with lots of seasonal and glorious veggies!


RPM Italian

Next on my list of places for Christmas Eve dinner in Chicago, it’s the wonderful RPM Italian.

This is another Italian place hosting a Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve, and it’s a lovely choice if you want to enjoy some tasty Italian food.

This is one of those lovely and traditional Italian-American restaurants, and they sure know how to host a celebration!

You’ll find cured king salmon on there menu, but you’ll also find Mediterranean octopus (what a treat!), and delicious lobster risotto too.


Wildfire – Oak Brook

This place describe themselves as ‘steak, chops, and seafood’ – so if that sounds like your kind of thing, then it’s a perfect option for Christmas Eve dinner in Chicago.

They’re open from 11am to 9pm on Christmas Eve, so you’ll be home in time to leave some carrots and milke for Santa and Rudolph!

If steak is your ‘thing’ then you’re going to absolutely adore dining here, their steaks are some of the juiciest i’ve ever seen. And I don’t know about you, but steak feels super festive and feast-worth to me!


STK

Speaking of steak! This is another classic choice for eating steak in Chicago. Sure, it’s a chain restaurant, but sometimes chain places have their purpose!

Steak is a classic pick for Christmas Eve dinner in Chicago, it’s hearty, tasty and everyone loves it.

STK serves up lovely meat, but also a good selection of side dishes and appetizers too – so there’s something for everyone.

This place is an indulgent choice, and it’s an amazing location for anyone who loves truffles!

They have an impressive Christmas Eve menu here, and chef Fabio Viviani has created a beautiful menu putting truffles as the star of the show.

You’ll find dishes like truffled burrata on polenta toast (ummm, sign us up!) and even a juicy filet mignon with a truffled cauliflower puree.
