SoHo is one of the most fun and exciting neighborhoods in NYC, and my 2 day itinerary for Soho in NYC has so many great suggestions and ideas for you to explore!

SoHo has a little bit of everything that makes NYC a magical city, so it’s totally worth exploring it in depth. It’s actually my favorite neighborhood to stop in when I visit the city, because I love having this amazing part of the city right on my doorstep.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned city dweller looking for a new adventure, this SoHo itinerary in NYC packs in the best of SoHo with a mix of classic sights and hidden gems. Let’s dive into your jam-packed, fun-filled schedule!

Day 1: From Sweet Beginnings to Laughter-Filled Evenings

Breakfast: Kickstart day one of this Soho itinerary in NYC at Dominique Ansel Bakery. This beautiful SoHo bakery is home to some of the best pastries in the city, and it’s sweet with the scent of fresh cronuts.

Obviously, when visiting, you won’t want to miss their famous Cronut (a delightful fusion of croissant and donut) but I also recommend trying some of their other bits. I personally love the cookies from there, and the classic DKA (short for “Dominique’s Kouign Amann”) and best described as a mini “caramelized croissant”.

Morning: When you’re full of pastries, choose your next adventure, depending on what takes your interest. You could either dive into the world of the rainbow at the Color Factory, which is an interactive art exhibit celebrating color and creativity.

Alternatively you could visit the Museum of Ice Cream which offers a whimsical, tasty exploration of everyone’s favorite frozen treat, complete with a giant sprinkle pool. Both offer a totally quirky, whacky take on the traditional museum, and are really fun to explore.

Lunch: It’s lunch time! So next on my Soho itinerary in NYC, it’s some classic NYC food! Time for an iconic NYC slice at Prince Street Pizza. This is my favorite pizza place in the whole city, and I always have to stop by here at least once a trip.

Their pepperoni squares are the stuff of legend—a crispy, saucy delight that’s a must-try in the city. I love those little pepperoni cups more than words can describe!

Afternoon: SoHo is a shopper’s paradise (if you didn’t know!), boasting an array of boutiques offering everything from high fashion to unique indie designs. You’ll find designer boutiques on cobblestone streets, and some of the major highstreet brands too.

There’s a little bit of everything here. Also – if you’re seeking a bargain, don’t skip Canal Street Market, a mixed-use space featuring an eclectic mix of vendors, artists, and eateries.

Evening: Ready for some laughs? SoHo’s comedy scene is vibrant, with clubs like the Comedy Cellar hosting nightly shows that feature both up-and-coming talents and established stars.

A comedy night is a great option for the evening, as it’s laid back, fun, and gives you a real taste of NYC.

Dinner: Whether you’re in the mood for fancy or laid-back dining, SoHo has you covered. I’ve recommended two places within easy walking distance from SoHo. Abielle is my first recommendation, and it offers an upscale experience with exquisite dishes and Impeccable service.

Fish Cheeks is my next suggestion, and serves up mouthwatering family-style Thai seafood in a casual, quirky setting. Both would be fantastic places to grab dinner on day one of my Soho itinerary in NYC.

Bonus Idea: If time allows and you have any spare moments during day one of my Soho itinerary in NYC, then wander into Pearl River Mart.

This is a giant emporium of Asian goods. It’s absolutely wonderful and one of my favorite stores in the city (and great for gifts too!). It’s a shopper’s delight and I know you’ll love it.

Day 2: Art, Brunch, and Unforgettable Dinners

Morning: OK, it’s day two of my Soho itinerary in NYC. First up today, you’re going to immerse yourself in SoHo’s art scene with a stroll through the many galleries on W Broadway. There are more than 10 art galleries on this street, so plenty to see and explore!

Each gallery offers a unique perspective, showcasing works from both established and emerging artists, and they’re free to visit! One time, when I was visiting, I met the famous Mr Doodle, how cool is that?!

Brunch: Sadelle’s is your brunch destination on day two of my Soho itinerary in NYC. Stop by for bagels and lox, towering tiered trays of smoked fish, and a buzzing atmosphere that’s quintessentially New York.

It’s a lot of fun, and it’s just a really special and unique place to dine. It’ll always be one of my top places for brunch in the city.

Afternoon: Choose your next discovery, as you have choices! Your first choice is The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art which celebrates LGBTQIA+ artists and their contributions, it’s wonderful and unique and absolutely worth visiting.

Your second choice is the New York City Fire Museum, which delves into the brave history of the city’s firefighters. And finally, your third choice for this afternoon on my Soho itinerary in NYC, is The House of Cannabis – which (unsurprisingly) offers a modern look at cannabis culture in a chic, welcoming space.

Evening / Dinner: For dinner on day two of my Soho itinerary in NYC, you’re going to want to reserve a table at Rubirosa Pizzeria for an Italian feast that’s hard to beat.

Now, here’s my warning, this place is VERY popular and books ahead way in advance. So make sure you get that reservation in as early as possible. Their thin-crust pizzas and hearty pastas are as close to perfect as you can get.

Bonus: Before calling it a night, indulge in a slice (or two) of cheesecake from Eileen’s Special Cheesecake. It’s the perfect sweet ending to your SoHo adventure. I love these little cheesecakes so much, they’re the perfect sweet treat!
