The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is one of the most awe-inspiring and popular spots in the whole city, and we think you’ll love it.
The fountains run most of the day, in daylight and nighttime – but for the full effect, it is recommended to visit in the evening when you can see them light up too.

This is a fantastic aquarium (one of the best in the world) and it is located right in the heart of the DUbai Mall.
You can easily spend a few hours exploring Dubai Aquarium, so make sure you set aside plenty of time for exploring this magical fishy experience!
You’ll see sharks, plenty of fish, sea horses, crabs, rays, you name it! It’s a brilliant choice for things to do in Dubai Mall.

Burj Khalifa – At The Top
The amazing Burj Khalifa is next on our list of things to do in Dubai Mall. This is the tallest building in the world – and not to be missed!
This is one of the best things to do in Dubai Mall for sure, and it’s such a memorable experience.
From the top of the Burj Khalifa, you’ll be able to see the entire city! The views are unparalleled and absolutely beautiful.

Lunch or Dinner at Rooftop, The Burj Club
If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience in the Dubai Mall, then our next choice for things to do in Dubai Mall is for you!
This ticket package includes tickets to the ‘At The Top’ viewing deck, and also dinner at one of the Burj’s most exclusive restaurants; The Burj Club.
After enjoying the observation deck (accessed through Dubai Mall) you’ll enjoy a 3-course meal at the Burj Club, which overlooks the Dubai lake and fountains.

Dubai Mall might be primarily luxury and high-street stores, but a certain part of the mall has been designed to look and feel like a traditional gold souk.
If you didn’t know, Dubai is well-known for it’s gold trade, and the gold souks are a big part of the city’s culture and history.
The gold souk in Dubai Mall isn’t an authentic gold souk, but it’s a lot of fun and definitely worth checking out!

There are quite a few food courts in Dubai Mall (all pretty huge!), so we really recommend checking them out at some point during your visit there.
We know that visiting a food court might not be everyone’s idea of fun things to do in Dubai Mall, but it’s certainly one of the parts of Dubai Mall we really enjoy!

If you’re into virtual reality, computer games, or just trying new technology – then this is for you.
The VR Park in Dubai Mall is the world’s largest indoor, virtual reality park (we don’t do things by half in Dubai – you should know this by now!).
This incredible indoor attraction houses over 30 exhilarating VR experiences, and even has a soft play area for the little ones too (so they don’t feel left out!).
Time Out Market Dubai
Our next suggestion for things to do in Dubai Mall, is visiting the amazing Time Out Market Dubai.
Time Out Market Dubai isn’t located inside the mall, but it’s only a short walk away, and well worth checking out.
If you’re planning on staying in the area for dinner, then we really recommend walking the 3 minute walk over to Time Out Market Dubai, because we know you’ll love it.
It’s an indoor street market, filled with loads of gorgeous eateries – all the best in the city!
It’s a perfect choice for things to do in Dubai Mall.

Things to do in Dubai Mall: The Human Waterfall
Next on our list of things to do in Dubai Mall, it’s checking out the human waterfalls.
This amazing art installation is located in one of the corners of the mall, and it’s absolutely awe-inspiring.
This huge indoor waterfall features metal sculptures of humans diving into the depths below, and it’s both elegant and mind-blowing at the same time.
A must-see when visiting, and a great choice for things to do in Dubai Mall.
Watch the Burj Khalifa light shows
Next on our list of things to do in Dubai Mall, it’s watching the Burj Khalifa light shows. These often happen around the same time as the fountains, as a pre-show.
They’re so entertaining, and truly a magical experience (and free too!).
The designers of the shows change them up every few months too, so there’s always a fresh one to watch and enjoy when visiting.

Watch a movie at the Reel Platinum Suites Cinema
If you’re looking for things to do in Dubai Mall that are a little more unique or luxurious – we recommend the Reel Platinum Suites Cinema.

Kidzania is a well-known brand around the world now, as they have Kidzania in all the best malls around the world!
But if you don’t know what it is, it’s a contained indoor city, built ‘mini’ for your little ones. The aim of Kidzania is to entertain your little ones, by letting them try lots of different ‘pretend jobs’ in the real world.
They can earn money, spend money, and build their skills inside. It’s brilliant!

You can shoot hoops, try virtual reality, play racecars, try your hand at bowling… there’s something for everyone!

Of course Dubai Mall has a cinema – what did you expect? It has everything else imaginable!
If you’re visiting Dubai on a particularly hot day, and you fancy getting out of the sunshine and heat, then a trip to the cinema is a great choice for things to do in Dubai Mall.

Infinity des Lumières
Next on our list of things to do in Dubai Mall, it’s Infinity des Lumières.
Infinity des Lumières is a huge digital art exhibition, that is located on the second floor of the Dubai Mall.
This is an amazing choice for things to do in Dubai Mall, especially if you’re an art lover!
So what should you expect here? Well, to start with, there are 58 speakers and 130 projectors that make up Infinity des Lumières – and they’re all transmitting 3,000 moving images on a 3,300m2 projectable surface!
It’s art, but not how you know it! It’s a collision of light, sound, color and magic.
Hysteria
Next up on our list of suggestions for things to do in Dubai Mall, it’s Hysteria.
Hysteria isn’t for the faint-hearted – it’s billed as an ‘extreme fear experience’. So are you feeling brave enough?
It’s a haunted house kind of attraction, but imagines everything turned up to the max, because that’s what you should expect at Hysteria Dubai Mall.
If you’re a thrill-seeker, an adrenaline junkie, or even a horror fan – this might be something you’ll really enjoy. It’s a great choice for things to do in Dubai Mall.
Shop! (of course)
How could we write a list of things to do in Dubai Mall and not mention shopping?!
The whole place was built to create an amazing shopping experience, so you really should try and do a little shopping whilst you’re there!
But don’t worry, it’s not all designer stores. There are also cheaper highstreet shops too like H&M and Zara to enjoy.

Downtown Kitchens

Downtown Kitchens is an indoor street market style complex, located a short walk through the mall (via a connecting walkway).

Our next option for things to do in Dubai Mall isn’t strictly ‘inside’ the mall, but operates from just outside.
If you have tickets for the Dubai: Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Tour, then you’ll notice plenty of stops and pick-up / drop-off points around the mall.

This ancient being is proudly displayed right in the center of Dubai Mall, and it’s free to go and admire him.

Fashion Avenue
Next on our list of things to do in Dubai Mall, it’s exploring Fashion Avenue!
This is a newer extension to the mall, housing all the high-end luxury designers and stores.
This part of Dubai Mall is the embodiment of luxury, so if you love those expensive and high-end brands, you’re going to love exploring this section of the mall.
Definitely add it to your list of things to do in Dubai Mall!
Admire the supercars
Finally on our list of things to do in Dubai Mall, it’s admiring all the amazing supercars that are often parked around the mall.
It’s not hard to find them, most entrances to the mall will have amazing supercars lined up waiting to be valet parked.
Don’t touch them, but feel free to look at them! The cars are amazing and they’re usually makes and models of cars you won’t see anywhere else.
