These aren’t Vegas ‘rules’ – they’re just helpful tips that might make your trip a little more enjoyable, and ensuring you’ve got the right Las Vegas outfits at hand during your trip!

  • Bring comfortable shoes for walking around and exploring – Las Vegas is bigger than you think and when it comes to what to wear in Vegas on your feet… The comfier the better! Sometimes walking from your hotel to the elevator can take 10 minutes, so make sure your daytime shoes are comfortable.
  • You’ll also want some smarter shoes for the evening! So don’t forget something a little more formal too!
  • Bring a cardigan or jumper for your hotel room! If you’re anything like us, you’ll have the air conditioning on full blast in the summer months, and it’s nice to have a jumper to feel cosy in!
  • Always pack sliders for the pool! This is key for your Las Vegas outfits by the pool. In the summer months, the ground around the pool is roasting hot – and way too hot for bare feet. Always take sliders or flipflops to the pool that are easy to slip on and off whenever you need to walk around.
  • Cover-ups are required in some hotels when walking from the pool to your hotel room, so make sure you have something appropriate to wear whilst walking from one to the other.
  • A lot of nightclubs won’t allow entrance wearing sneakers (so always bring some more formal footwear for evenings!). It means you’ll have the ideal Las Vegas outfits for nightclubs.

What to wear in Vegas during the warmer months (spring and summer)

If you’re wondering what to wear in Vegas during the warmer months (April – September) then we’ll try and cover that below.

Summer temperatures are pretty high in Las Vegas, so you’ll want your clothing to be light and airy, especially if you plan on spending time outdoors. Las Vegas outfits in summer are all about keeping your body cool and comfortable in the piping heat!

Summer dresses, shorts, light t-shirts, swimming attire (for all those pool days) are all great choices for the daytime. In the evening (if you’re going to be getting dressed up) you’ll want to go for summery evening clothes – maybe with lighter textures than the more wintery options in your wardrobe.

But bear in mind, a lot of Las Vegas activities are indoors, and everywhere indoors will be air conned – so you can still get away with layers, or slightly warmer clothes too!

In fact, in the evenings, if you’ll be indoors with air conditioning, you might want to take a light jacket or layers for your Las Vegas outfits.

What should you wear in Vegas casinos?

What should you wear in Vegas casinos… It’s a question lots of people ask! Las Vegas outfits are so varied, from casual to formal – but what should you wear for casinos?

What to wear in Vegas isn’t a difficult question to answer because the city is so flexible with dress code – but you might still be a little worried about what to wear in certain situations. The first of these is likely the casinos in Las Vegas!

What to wear in Vegas casinos tends to vary depending on which casino you’re in, and also what time of the day you’re visiting. In the daytime, the dress code in the casinos tends to be much more casual (you’ll find people gambling in their pool gear, casual clothes, etc).

The same Las Vegas outfits rules apply for the evenings, for you’ll find the dress code tends to be a bit smarter in the evenings, simply because people like to dress up for the night!

Some hotels are more up-market and luxurious than others, and whilst there don’t tend to be any strict dress codes in any of the casinos, you’ll find that the 5* hotel-casinos, do tend to be more ‘formal’ than ‘casual’ in the evenings. But remember, this is just the pattern of how people dress, it’s not a rule, or a strict dress code you need to stick to!

What should you wear in Vegas restaurants?

Your Las Vegas outfits for restaurants, all depend on which restaurant you’re visiting!

Each restaurant in Vegas will have its own dress code. Whether that’s no dress code at all (casual all the way!) or a formal ‘shirts and closed-toe shoes’ dress code for some of the more formal eateries on the strip.

The only way to know for sure what to wear in Vegas at certain restaurants is to check in with the restaurants themselves. The best place to check for this information is their website!

What to wear in Vegas nightclubs?

As we mentioned, whilst the hotels and casinos, in general, don’t tend to enforce dress codes, some nightclubs and bars do. And most of the best nightclubs in Vegas have some kind of dress code. So always make sure you check this before your big night out!

For women, the worry is less (women can usually dress however they like, within reason) but for men, you’ll want to check on evening options and what’s requested by the venue.

This could mean nightclubs might not allow denim, or open-toed sandals for men, or t-shirt (could be shirts only), etc.

Always check ahead to be sure, so you know you’ve got the ideal Las Vegas outfits for the specific club you’re visiting.

What should you wear in Vegas pools?

We’re not sure if swimwear is classed as Las Vegas outfits… But poolside outfits are important! If you’re worried about what to wear in Vegas around the pool, hopefully this next bit of our article will help!

Generally what to wear in Vegas around the pool depends on a few things:

  • Is the pool adults only, or family-friendly?
  • Is the pool a hotel pool, or a pool part pool?

Generally, we’d advise using common sense here. If there are kids around the pool, it might not be appropriate to wear something super revealing. However, if you’re at one of the famous Las Vegas adult’s only pool parties – the rule tends to be, the skimpier the better!

In terms of what you could wear, any of the following should be fine!

  • Bikini
  • Tankini
  • One-piece swimsuit
  • Skirted swimsuit
  • Trunks
  • Swim briefs
  • Swim shorts

Also, remember, cover-ups are required in some hotels when walking from the pool to your hotel room, so make sure you have something appropriate to wear whilst walking from one to the other.
