If you’re on the hunt for local restaurants open on Christmas day in Boston, then you really can’t do better than Abe and Louie’s.

This popular spot is known for its amazing Midwestern steaks, and Abe and Louie’s assures its customers that each one has been aged for at least 30 days on the bone before being seared and served. 

This restaurant’s red booths and gorgeous décor are certainly stunning, but it’s the mains, delectable sides, and awesome drinks menu that makes this place worth reserving for Christmas Day Dinner in Boston.

La Voile

French cuisine takes center stage at the next spot on my list of the best restaurants open on Christmas day in Boston.

La Voile has an intimate and vintage feel, making it the perfect choice if you want something homely but stylish too. Aiming to impress lovers of French cuisine and wine, the items on the menu here are highly decadent. 

We thought we’d warn you and say that this place does get busy during the holiday season. Therefore, we recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment!

As well as serving up delicious French classics like steak tartare and mussels, this place manages to balance its prices and portions to suit most consumers, making it a great choice for Christmas Day dinner in Boston.

Sure, it may not be cheap, but you won’t be burning through your pocketbook to secure a seat either!

Once you’ve had your fill of the gorgeous mains, we highly recommend trying a traditional crème brulee or chocolate mousse.

Both equally sinful, these desserts are the perfect way to cap off a successful Christmas meal. 

Trattoria Il Panino

Offering delicious homemade pasta and house specials such as chicken parmigiana and veal chop Milanese, it’s unsurprising that this is one of the restaurants on my list that definitely needs booking ahead.

Nubar is one of the best restaurants open on Christmas day in Boston that balances a chic interior with inherent local charm.

Realistically, some fancy restaurants can be overbearing and clinical – but not Nubar – which makes it a wonderful pick for Christmas Day dinner in Boston.

Working hard with local vendors to secure the best local seafood and farm produce around, you can be sure that any dish you try at Nubar is as fresh as can be. 

In addition to its awesome starters and mains, Nubar serves up delicious desserts and bakes.

Bricco

Although Bricco is pricey, it’s one of the best restaurants on my list! When it comes to Italian food, so I think you’ll love this place!

Selecting from Bricco’s top-tier menu can be tricky, but if there’s one dish you can’t miss, we’d say it’s the timpano with meatballs.

Featuring perfect pasta and succulent toppings, it’s a dish that you’ll remember for years to come.

Its amazing wine list, incredible ambiance, and unbeatable menu make Bricco one of the top restaurants in the city to enjoy on Christmas Day.

Waypoint, Boston

Waypoint is one of those amazing restaurants that both looks inviting and serves up food that never fails to impress.

Whether you’re fancying pizza, pasta, seafood, or items from the grill, you’re sure to find them at this fantastic spot, which makes it a great pick for Christmas Day dinner in Boston.

Anyone on the hunt for a farm-to-table experience will adore Henrietta’s Table.

This is one of the best restaurants open on Christmas day in Boston by a mile, as it features reimagined classics that are made using only the finest ingredients available.

The fresh local seafood and veggies here are incredible, so we highly recommend ordering a starter or a main that features these. It’s another great choice for Christmas Day dinner in Boston.

Once you finish your main meal, why not top things off with one of the many desserts on offer at Henrietta’s Table?

The chocolate bread pudding and pumpkin cheesecake are enduring favorites and you’re unlikely to be disappointed by them!

Next on my list of restaurants open on Christmas Day in Boston, it’s Mare Oyster Bar.

Mare Oyster Bar may seem like a rather unconventional place for Christmas Day dinner in Boston, but the restaurant’s reputation is outstanding.

However, it’s not just any seafood – it’s possibly the best seafood in the city! 

With an extensive menu featuring items such as New England lobster bisque and Maine peekytoe crab cake, you’re sure to find something among the fishy fare that you can’t wait to try.

Quattro

For a casual Italian experience that won’t disappoint, Quattro is an excellent choice. As one of the top Italian restaurants in Boston, this place is usually booked out on the 25th.

Therefore, you need to plan well in advance if you want to be seated. 

If you’re wondering what to order at Quattro, never fear – the whole menu is outstanding. However, the famous brick oven pizzas are by far the restaurant’s most popular offerings.

Vejigante Restaurant

Located in Villa Victoria, Vejigante Restaurant is one of our favorite Puerto Rican restaurants in town.

Despite not serving up traditional Christmas goodies, this is one of the restaurants open on Christmas day in Boston that is always full.

Offering an awesome selection of sandwiches, soups, mofongos, and other Latin American goodies, this place is seriously delicious, and serves up something a little different than the typical Christmas day dinner.

Just a word to the wise though – when these guys say spicy, they mean spicy.
