Well, this list of the best pizza places in Times Square will help you and give you loads of great pizza places to try.

There’s nothing quite like pizza in NYC.

But finding the good places that sell the legit stuff, from the places that sell below-average pizza, can be tricky.

And finding the best pizza in and around Times Square can be overwhelming (because there are so many places to choose from!)… And a lot of them look kinda the same.

So, if you’re after some guidance, I’ve got you.

Oh! Here’s something else you might find useful! if you don’t mind heading further afield than Times Square, you might find my list of the best pizzas in the rest of NYC really useful too!

Anyway, let’s get into it!

Here is Where you can Savor New York-Style Pies in the Theater District

Joe’s Pizza

Address: 1435 Broadway, New York, NY 10018, United States. Get directions on Google Maps.

First on our list, it’s Joe’s Pizza.

Located at 1435 Broadway, Joe’s Pizza is absolutely a strong contender. Also, if you’re looking for an entire pizza pie, or pizza by the slice, then you won’t be disappointed at Joe’s.

These pizzas act as the perfect pre-show dinner, and we love that you can grab a go with a slice, or take a whole pie back to your hotel.

This is a great place for the pizza in Times Square, but be aware – the queues get pretty big during peak hours! So if you’re looking to avoid the queues, then we recommend heading to Joe’s Pizza around 2pm – 5pm.

The pizza at Joe’s Pizza is CLASSIC New York pizza. Think, cheesy slices, with amazing toppings, and delicious crispy bottoms. Yum!

Emmy Squared Pizza

Address: 311 West 48th Street, New York, NY 10036. Get directions on Google Maps.

Next up, we have Emmy Squared Pizza which has a pizza joint in Hell’s Kitchen, only a short walk from Times Square.

Emmy Squared are actually one of the best pizza restaurants in the whole of NYC, but their pizza is a little different to the traditional NYC slices you’re used to.

Instead, they’re a crusty ode to Detroit style pizza, with a slightly thicker base and crunchy, fluffy crust.

This place isn’t like the other pizza places you’ll find in Times Square, but that’s a good thing,, because it’s great to have variety.

If you haven’t ever tried this style of pizza, then make sure you give it a go at some point during your trip, you might even prefer it to the classic NYC style slices.

I love the spicy honey, jalapeno and pepperoni pizza, it’s sweet and spicy and perfect!

Radio City Pizza

Address: 142 W 49th St, New York, NY 10019. Find directions on Google Maps.

Next on our list, it’s Radio City Pizza. This little pizza place is located on 142 W 49th St, so at the top end of Times Square.

They do pizza by the slice here (if you want to grab something quick), and have some pretty great flavors and selections.

Again, this is really classic New York style pizza, thin base with a crispy bottom. Totally delicious and a great choice!

They open up at 11am, so if you’re partial to pizza for a late breakfast snack, then this is a great choice!

Trattoria Dell’ Arte

Address: 900 7th Ave, New York, NY 10106, United States. Find directions on Google Maps.

Next on our list of the best pizza joints in Times Square, – it’s Trattoria Dell’ Arte. If you adore antipasti with your pizza, then pay a visit to Trattoria Dell’Arte.

This gorgeous Italian eatery stays true to its roots and prepares fresh food daily.

As well as being perfectly located for a trip to the theater District, this restaurant also happens to serve some of the best pizza in Times Square.

The main draw of this Italian spot is its incredible antipasti bar, as well as its signature thin crust pizza.

Seriously, the crunch on those pies is next level. If the food weren’t enough to draw you in, we thought we’d mention the fact that this joint is open until midnight most nights of the week.

Next on our list, it’s Carnegie Pizza. Another classic pizza place in Times Square, that oozes NYC style.

This lovely little pizza spot, is another classic counter-service pizza-by-the-slice spot. So ideal for a late night pizza snack, or a quick refuel after a few hours of sightseeing.

It’s in a great location, within a block of Times Square, and it has consistently high reviews because their bases are crispy and their flavors are spot on.

Never underestimate how important a crispy base is – for me, it’s one of the deciding factors.

It’s definitely worth a try, and it’s an ideal spot for a late-night slice.

John’s of Times Square

Address: 260 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036, United States. Find directions on Google Maps.

Another great choice for pizza in Times Square, – it’s John’s of Times Square.

Not only has John’s of Times Square been voted one of New York’s best pizzas, but the pizzas here are said to be incredibly unique too.

Each pizza here is made in an 800-degree coal fired oven, so your dish is guaranteed to be piping hot when it arrives.

Famous Original Ray’s Pizza

Address: 736 7th Ave, New York, NY 10019. Find directions on Google Maps.

Next up on our list of amazing Times Square pizza, it’s Famous Original Ray’s Pizza.

This place is one of NYC’s famous no-frills pizza joints, and it’s super close to Times Square, so perfect for your midnight snack after enjoying a Broadway show.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but they serve up those iconic NYC style slices.

As we mentioned, this place is pretty no-frills, but it’s one of those classic counter-service pizza places that you simple HAVE to try before you leave the city.

Angelo’s Pizza

Address: 1697 Broadway, New York, NY 10019, United States. Find directions on Google Maps.

Cheesy, piping hot, and always made fresh to order, it’s unsurprising that Angelo’s pizza is some of the best pizza that you can find in the area. This humble restaurant began in the 1930s, when the famous Angelo settled in New York City.

He worked hard to make incredible Italian pizza, eventually opening a store on Fulton Street. Although Angelo’s as we now know it wasn’t opened by this incredible man, the enterprise is now a family business that aims to bring Italian food and the love that comes with it to NYC.

Every dish on the menu is incredible, but we obviously recommend the old-fashioned square pie. Top with what you wish, and you’ll be on your way to flavor town.

Oh, and don’t forget to sample one of Angelo’s famous desserts. Whether you fancy fresh Cannoli or a slice of creamy cheesecake, you’ll be able to grab it here.
