Located inside Gardens by the Bay, these wonderful manmade greenhouses are a tribute to nature’s beauty. Not only does the Cloud Forest teach you about the wonders of the tropics, but you can even see Singapore’s finest indoor waterfall! If you fancy looking at the world’s most beautiful flowers, then head to the Flower Dome. Packed with flowers that you may not otherwise see, it’s a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

Orchard Road

When it rains in Singapore, one of the best things to do indoors is to head to the shops. The world-famous Orchard Road is a gigantic shopping avenue that’s packed with malls. Though the road is technically outside, most of the best ones are linked via underground walkways, so you don’t ever need to resurface to get your shopping fix.

Some of the best ones are ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, 313 Somerset and Plaza Singapura if you don’t want to brave the elements. A great option for things to do in Singapore when it rains.

The Jewel @ Changi Airport

This is a relatively new addition to Singapore’s attraction list, and it’s pretty magical. This amazing indoor waterfall is located in Singapore’s Changi Airport, but you can easily purchase tickets here.

It’s really affordable, and it’s pretty amazing. You’ll have never seen anything like this before – it’s truly WOW!

A board game cafes is a cafe… with the added fun of board games. There are actually quite a fe board game cafes in Singapore (click here for a list of the best ones!) so you’ll have plenty to choose from.

I just think there’s nothing as cosy as playing board games whilst it’s raining outside, so for me, the Singapore board game cafes are the ultimate rainy day activity in Singapore. The mind cafe is probably my favourite – but there are plenty to pick from! This is a great idea for things to do in Singapore when it rains.

The Singapore Science Centre

If you’re looking for one of the best things to do indoors in Singapore for families, then check out the Singapore Science Centre. Located in Jurong East, The Science Centre is an amazing learning resource for people of all ages. With interactive games, displays and presentations, it’s sure to entertain you for hours.

If you’re a fan of optical illusions, be sure to check out the Mind’s Eye Gallery which will honestly leave you heavily confused yet totally fascinated. Be sure to head to the Omni-Theatre if you’ve got the time; featuring a five-storey hemispheric screen, it’s an otherworldly experience that you’d be foolish to miss.

Clarke Quay

Though some of Clarke Quay’s bars are located outside, there’s a surprising amount of shelter available, which makes Clarke Quay the next idea on my list of things to do indoors in Singapore. With plenty of bars open from 1pm and most fully covered by Clarke Quay’s huge roofing system, you can stay dry whilst getting your drink on.

If you’re looking for things to do indoors in Singapore whilst having fun with your friends, simply order a cocktail and watch the world go by at this popular tourist spot.

Singapore’s many Museums

Singapore is packed with great museums, and one of the best things to do indoors in Singapore is paying one of them a visit. The two most popular are probably the Asian Civilisations Museum and the National Museum (book tickets here) which are both incredibly comprehensive and can take hours to fully explore.

Singapore Aquarium is jam packed full of amazing marine life, and it’s a brilliant place to stroll around during a rainy day in the city. If you’re in Singapore with kids, this is even more appealing, as it’s a really family-friendly attraction, and it’s affordable too.

Next on my list on things to do indoors in Singapore, it’s eat! Singapore street food is truly some of the best in the world. From satay to Nasi Lemak, wherever you head in Singapore for food promises to be a taste sensation. Lau Pa Sat is one particular one that’s really impressive! This Victorian structure which translates to ‘Old Market’ in Hokkien features over 60 food stalls that offer a variety of hawker favourites. Based in the heart of the city, it’s the perfect way to escape the elements if you’re stuck during a day of exploring.

Have a spa day

Trampoline parks are really fun, and it’s definitely an experience (especially if you’ve never been to one before!). It’s a perfect thing to do in Singapore when it rains, because it’s indoors and pretty affordable too! It’s also a great way to get some exercise and burn some calories.

Take a river cruise

A river cruise is better in dry weather, but it’s not impossible in the rain. The boat has an indoors area, so if you stay inside you’ll be able to enjoy all the cruise and views whilst staying completely dry! The views from the river cruise are pretty epic, so this well worth doing for sure!

Ice Skating and Snow City

Though you won’t be able to experience winter in Singapore (it’s a tropical climate all year round here!), one of the best things to do indoors in Singapore is to indulge in that winter goodness.

If you love ice skating, why not head down to J-Cube for a skating session? If you’re not so partial to the rink, you can hit up Snow City for some indoor snow. Though you won’t ever have a white Christmas in Singapore, you can certainly get close!

If you’ve never visited a cat cafe before (or heard of one) it’s basically a cafe where you can grab a drink of coffee and snacks… in the company of some seriously adorable feline friends! If you love cats, and you want to spend a couple of hours hanging out with some, then this is the perfect option for things to do indoors in Singapore for you!
