Are you looking for the best macarons in NYC? If so, you’ll want to keep reading!

NYC is famous for lots of food (it’s one of the reasons I love visiting so much!).

But Macarons might not be the first food that comes to find when you think of the Big Apple. Hot Dogs – maybe, bagels – for sure, pizza – absolutely, but probably not Macarons.

Saying that, if you’ve been on the hunt for the best macarons in NYC, then you’ve come to the right place. I spent a day in NYC tracking down all the best places to buy Macarons in the city (it’s a hard job, but someone’s gotta do it).

Basically, in this list, I’ve rounded up the tastiest macarons in the city, so you can be chowing down on these bite-sized delights in no time.

Whether you’re craving classic chocolate or weird and wonderful flavors like maple bacon or passionfruit, you’ll find them all on this list.

This Manhattan hotspot has been serving macarons in New York for years and they’re known for their unique flavors.

Seriously, if you’re craving interesting macarons like rose petal or orange blossom, then this is the place to be.

But don’t worry – this place also serves the best macarons in NYC for anyone who appreciates the classics. Pistachio? Chocolate? Lemon? You name it, they’ve got it!

Although this is an expensive place to visit, the upscale atmosphere and gorgeous presentation make it worth trying!

Mille-Feuille Bakery

This authentic French café is completely family-owned and bakes the best macarons in NYC fresh every single day.

Plus, they use top-notch ingredients like domestic flour, Vermont butter, and Valrhona chocolate to truly elevate each bite.

Oh, and did I mention these are the best macarons in NYC that include no preservatives or additives! So, I guess I can class them as ‘healthy’ right?

Although the custom macarons and classic flavors are worth trying, we suggest hanging around for their eclairs and croissants too.

Next up on my list of the best macarons in NYC, it’s the wonderful Heritage Grand Bakery.

This place serves up some pretty wonderful French baked goods, including their famous macaron! But if you’re wanting to stock up on some other goodies too whilst you’re there – don’t worry there is plenty of choice.

They also have a few different flavors of macaron you can choose from too, but personally, I’d be opting for the passionfruit one! So delicious, and I’m speaking from experience!

I think this is a place that flies under the radar in NYC, so it’s not usually as busy as other more touristy options. Another reason to visit this place!

You’ll find this incredible French café and bakery in the charming area of NoHo, and it’s loaded with macarons.

Despite its French namesake, the menu is relatively international, but we recommend casting your eyes on the amazing macarons (obviously).

Not only can you grab classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla, but you’ll also find a range of seasonal macarons that’ll put you in the holiday mood.

Oh, and another reason why you’ll want to grab the macarons from Lafayette?

The atmosphere is relaxed but super refined, making it the perfect pitstop for a bougie bite while you’re sightseeing!

Marron Pastry

Next on our list of where to find the best macarons in NYC, it’s Marron Pastry – a lovely little French bakery in the heart of Greenwich Village.

Inside, they serve up modern French desserts, including some delicious macarons of varying flavors.

Our favorite flavor? It has to be the macaron au citron! Yum!

La Maison du Chocolat

As you might have guessed from the name of this spot, this place is home to some of the best chocolate macarons you can get yours hands on!

But it’s not just the chocolate fillings that make these almond-shelled delights worth waiting for.

We love how light they are, and they don’t have a ridiculously sweet aftertaste that can make you feel queasy.

And all of the ingredients are handpicked for quality and the macarons are stored in temperature-controlled areas to ensure freshness.

Macaron Parlour

  • Address:  44 Hester St, New York, NY 10002
  • Phone: +1 212-387-9169

These guys draw inspiration from classic American flavors, but the baking methods and ingredients are all French.

I can’t get enough of the candied bacon macaron with maple cream cheese (hello, savory options!), but the sweet choices are just as good.

I also adore the fact that they often create limited-edition shaped macarons that represent cartoon characters and other elements of pop culture. Talk about creativity!

Whether you’re into classic flavors or new-age picks, these are some of the best macarons in NYC.

Not only is Dominique Ansel one of my absolutel favorite bakeries in the Big Apple, but it’s also home to some amazing macarons.

Although these are the best macarons in the city, they come at a pretty hefty price.

But honestly, if you’re into soft macarons that are perfectly smooth and sweet – you can’t go wrong with this place!

I suggest grabbing their classic macaron box which you can get in 5, 9, or 18-piece collections.

They feature their finest almond macarons in various flavors, making them an awesome option for first-time visitors.

They’re best known for their tart raspberry macaron with a jam core, but their chocolate macaron is rich and indulgent too!

Bonus suggestion: Stick With Me

OK, I’m giving you an awesome bonus suggestion here…

Stick With Me isn’t ‘technically’ a macaron store, nor do they sell macarons. They actually sell these beautiful little chocolate candies.

But, if you’re looking for a sweet treat that is similar to a macaron, this might tick your boxes! So give it a try, I think you’ll love it. It’s one of my favorite little hidden gems in the city.
